As part of GBH News, the mission of GBH Forum Network is to project and protect the public voice, to inform and inspire lifelong learners, and to foster deeper understanding of the culture, education, politics, science, and literature of our time.


The Forum Network is a public media service funded by the Lowell Institute to document public speaking in the Boston region delivered by the world's foremost scholars, authors, artists, scientists, policymakers, and community leaders. Recordings are made available online to the public for free and are a resource of information and sourcing for GBH News. The Forum Network is committed to encouraging deeper understanding and civic engagement around the vital issues of our time.



The Digital Associate Producer will be responsible for basic video editing and publishing Forum Network content through our content management system and our social media channels, as well as communicate about our content through internal and partner outreach and contributions to newsletters. They will participate in media management and maintain the editorial and publishing calendars for partner shoots/virtual events, social media sharing and newsletters. For virtual event production planning, they will interface with partners on scheduling rehearsals, obtaining releases, operating RSVP software for virtual events; and support virtual and hybrid productions. The Digital Associate Producer will amplify the work created by GBH Forum Network with unique social media strategies as well as coordinate unique social and newsletter campaigns.



  • Participate in video editing and publishing 150+ recorded lectures annually

  • Create and execute on social media campaigns for GBH Forum Network

  • Coordinate and contribute writing to GBH Forum Network’s newsletter campaign

  • Assist with the coordination, production and planning of virtual and live events

  • Maintain the editorial calendars for GBH Forum Network’s shoots/virtual events, social media and newsletters



  • Solid writing and copy editing skills

  • Knowledge of Photoshop and other illustration tools

  • Proficient with social media platforms.

  • The ability to liaise with and direct our program partners

  • The ability problem solve and train interns



Bachelors or equivalent work experience. 2-3 years of relevant experience. Experience working with visual and audio tools needed to make good HD video. Experience in video editing. Experience publishing to a website.
