Under the direction of NOVA’s Director of Education and Outreach, the Outreach Projects Manager will be responsible for planning and executing outreach initiatives for NOVA’s broadcast, digital, and education projects.


The Outreach Projects Manager will execute outreach projects related to the NOVA brand, including planning and producing events for NOVA films, overseeing outreach campaigns for tentpole projects, producing and hosting virtual field trips, and increasing the impact of NOVA’s productions via outreach to STEM educators online and at conferences. The Outreach Projects Manager will manage strategic partnerships with NOVA’s content and outreach partners and engage an online network of science educators.


The Outreach Projects Manager will create and execute outreach campaigns for all of NOVA’s upcoming tentpole productions, including organizing national screening events, creating outreach toolkits for community-based organizations, hosting virtual field trips and webinars for educators, and social media and newsletter promotion.



  • Plan and produce virtual and in-person screening events for NOVA’s upcoming 2023 tentpole films 

  • Execute outreach campaigns for tentpole productions, including creating outreach toolkits for community organizations, curating outreach lists of national interest groups, and working with NOVA audience development team to develop social media campaigns and newsletters

  • Plan and host virtual field trips to engage educator and student audiences with NOVA content

  • Develop impact surveys for events and assist in the collection of metrics for evaluation and reporting to project funders



  • Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a team and external organizations

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Expressed interest in STEM education 

  • Willingness and ability to travel

  • Able to multitask in a deadline driven environment

  • Proactive and a team player

  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility

  • Familiar with social media platforms including Twitter and Facebook

  • Bilingualism (Spanish)



  • A bachelor’s degree in education or science or equivalent work experience required.

  • 3 plus years work experience in STEM outreach or education required.

  • Experience working with educators and students

  • Experience hosting virtual and in-person events

  • Experience planning and producing virtual and in-person events

  • Experience overseeing public outreach and engagement campaigns for STEM projects
