The Senior Business Associate, under the supervision of the Senior Business and Production Manager, is responsible for key financial operations and compliance with accounting functions for Antiques Roadshow. The Senior Business Associate plays an important role in supporting other general management tasks across finance, legal and human resources. In addition, the Senior Business Associate assists managing pre-production, production, and post-production activities for the unit. The Senior Business Associate travels to each production location and assists in facilitating and supervising work at each production event.


The position maintains a reporting line to the Managing Director of National Programming Finance. 



  • Independent, timely and accurate completion of key tasks in Purchasing, Billing, and Payroll.

  • Partner with the Accounting team and provide the necessary support for expense/revenue accruals and other accounting-close requirements.

  • Work with internal staff and external crew, vendors, and suppliers to ensure compliance with GBH policies and funder requirements.

  • Support department with administrative tasks across time-reporting & expense-reporting and help train new hires on key administrative tasks.

  • Administer purchasing card process and monthly reconciliation.

  • Support new vendor setup and onboarding.

  • Maintain legal contract schedule, review vendor and supplier contracts to ensure that business terms are accurately reflected, and license agreements and releases.

  • Facilitate the production shut-down process and maintain unit information in PIM database.

  • Assist in preparing Antiques Roadshow’s series budgets, including AR Digital, AR Station Relations, and AR National Marketing budgets.

  • Assist in preparing financial reports for the department, Project Finance and PBS.

  • Manage talent and crew hiring and payments and compliance with collective bargaining agreements, including Health & Welfare benefit payments.

  • Collaborate with Roadshow staff in event planning details, including creating event production binders.

  • Coordinate and submit a print order for all production event documents.

  • Complete and submit insurance certificate requests for production-related activities.

  • Travel to each production location and under the supervision of the Senior Business and Production Manager, train and supervise volunteers at each Antiques Roadshow production event.

  • Perform and oversee day to day Antiques Roadshow office administration, including Mailroom, Physical Plant, IT and Human Resources related tasks.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline/automate work.



  • Highly organized and detailed oriented.

  • Familiarity with accounting and financial systems.

  • Familiarity with basic employee hiring processes.

  • Familiarity with production union contracts and procedures.

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and cultivate productive working relationships with internal and external clients. 

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. 

  • Results and detail-oriented. 

  • Ability to contribute to strategic and long-range project planning.  

  • Computer fluency, especially in Excel and financial software required. Knowledge of Workday

  • Proficiency with databases, including Filemaker Pro and MS Word



Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required. Two to three years of experience working in business and production environments.
