Houston Public Media (News 88.7) is looking for two (2) general assignments reporters to join a growing team of multi-platform journalists covering the nation's 4th largest city. Houston is a dynamic place where big stories happen. News 88.7 is committed to covering daily news with 20 local and statewide radio newscasts each weekday. Our ideal candidate will be a strong writer, have both radio and digital experience, be able to cover breaking news and know how to use audio editing software.

Houston is a diverse, affordable, growing city with many stories to be told. Houston Public Media is embracing new ways to reach our audience. A distinctive social media presence, the ability to do live radio and at least 3-5 years of local journalism experience is preferred.
