Summary of Duties:

The Community Engagement Project Manager is responsible for supporting Northwest Public Broadcasting (NWPB) Education and Community Engagement initiatives by developing, managing, and administering bilingual/bi-literate, innovative education outreach efforts for children. The primary focus will be to administer NWPB’s new outreach program Explore Together/Exploremos Juntos for children ages 2-8. Utilizing a wide variety of resources including digital and multi-media, the incumbent will creatively reach, connect, and support our communities in new and effective ways. Planning and managing in-person community events will be a significant duty for the incumbent. This position will actively engage the communities we serve, primarily in the Tri-Cities area, and represent NWPB at events that are meaningful in those communities.


Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a program-related area and four (4) years of progressively responsible work in the program specialty, which has included at least two (2) years of supervisory experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

  • Spanish language proficiency.

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in education, early education, or adjacent fields.

  • One (1) year organizing events and meetings, including technology for remote and hybrid meetings.

  • Must possess, or be able to obtain at the time of hire, a valid, unrestricted driver’s license.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two plus (2+) years of coordinator experience within a non-profit organization.

  • Associate degree in early childhood education.

 

Monthly Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience. Excellent benefit package.
