Job Description:

Youth Media Producer, Student Reporting Labs

Full-time, Regular

Reports to: Senior Director, Student Reporting Labs

We are seeking a talented and hard-working Youth Media Producer (YMP) who is passionate about video production, youth development, journalism, and creating opportunities for middle and high school students to produce meaningful content that inspires, educates, and informs. You’ll be responsible for managing a portfolio of 30 schools and working with teachers and students throughout the school year on the production of original youth-driven news stories. You will level up your SRL knowledge by meeting with our team of youth media producers on a regular basis. You will also develop strong relationships with the students and educators in your portfolio and start to identify story ideas for larger content initiatives.

You will quickly adapt to working in a remote environment and seamlessly use different digital communication tools to connect with colleagues across the country. You understand the importance of working collaboratively to achieve a desired goal and will familiarize yourself with our mission, work, educational resources and survey other YMPs to learn our production priorities.
