About the Role
Works with and assists Director, Foundation and Corporate Relations by researching, writing and editing grant proposals and reports for institutional donors, conducting donor prospect research and assisting with donor stewardship efforts. Manages three department revenue portfolios: General Operating Support Grants, Educational Improvement Tax Credit Grants (EITC) and Corporate Matching Gifts.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Works with and assists the Director, Foundation and Corporate Relations to streamline efforts in foundation, program, development and corporate giving.

Writes, edits and gathers attachments for grant proposals to foundations and corporations for general operating support and program development.

Prepares interim and final reports to foundation, corporate and government grantors.

Produces stewardship materials for donors and prospects including brochures, program summary documents, concept papers, presentations, and videos.

Helps track funding requirements and deadlines.

Manages General Operating Support grant portfolio including research, outreach and stewardship efforts.

Responsible for Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC) fundraising strategy development outreach.

Manages Corporate Matching Gifts process and works to build and steward corporate contacts in this portfolio.

Develops target list of new foundation, corporate and government giving prospects and prepares summary memos for each.

Researches lapsed foundation and corporate donors, and prepares/updates summary memos for each.

Creates and maintains database of foundations, and grant-making corporations and government agencies.

Maintains profiles of general operating support and special funding projects.

Works with Director to improve department operations including setting up and maintaining systems for grant administration, tracking and file management.

Helps to track deliverables on grants as part of various grant reporting requirements.

Tracks statistics relevant to grants and provides department with written data memos and reports necessary for donor stewardship.

Pulls web data from Google Analytics and Pars.ly for the purpose of sharing in grant updates and reports to funders.

Accompanies Director, Foundation and Corporate Relations on solicitation visits.

Accompanies Director, Foundation and Corporate Relations in funding proposal meetings.

Maintains a regular and predictable attendance.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: The preferred candidate will possess a college degree or equivalent knowledge or experience in business, the arts, or fundraising. One year of basic research skills and a development background is preferred.
Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience. Requires thorough knowledge of fundraising concepts and operations. Must have extensive experience in writing and research.
Technical Skills: Requires general computer skills as well as professional level experience using Microsoft Office Suite. Experience using fundraising software is preferred.
