This position provides technical and on-air operation support for content creation at Wisconsin Public Radio. Reports to the Operations Manager within the Engineering & Operations Department.

Degree not required.
MINIMUM YEARS AND TYPE OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE
Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience mixing live radio, writing and voicing copy, and using DAWs to edit and record audio.
NOT REQUIRED BUT DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with Axia AOIP consoles, Adobe Audition, SoundForge, ProTools, and AudioVault.
- Precisely executes technical aspects of live radio shows.
- Records, edits, mixes, and archives audio elements used during broadcast.
- Sound designs production pieces and selects appropriate musical transitions.
- Monitors programming for audio quality and correct operation.
- Schedules and logs proper transmission of Emergency Alert System and Amber Alert System tests and activations.
- Coordinate the logistics and participate in executing special programming as assigned, including evening, weekend, holiday, and remote work.
- Performs basic testing, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance to ensure smooth operation of broadcast equipment.

Expected salary range for this position is low to mid-forties for highly experienced candidates who exceed the qualifications. Actual pay will depend on experience and qualifications.
