The Community Idea Stations is seeking a full-time Television Producer & Director to work alongside the hosts and producers of the nationally syndicated Virginia Farming in Harrisonburg, VA (WVPT).
The Producer/Director will conceptualize and create program content and visual treatments. This position will produce and direct field segments and provide rough-cut and final show video editing. Other duties may include scheduling facilities, personnel and equipment and provide production assistance, including videography and lighting, for other local productions as needed.
Successful candidates will have at least five years’ experience producing long-form television programs, educational videos, or film productions. Candidates should have experience with Final Cut, After Affects and Photo Shop Systems. Candidates should have practical experience creating broadcast quality videos and graphics using computerized software. Candidates should have experience with Final Cut, After Affects and Photo Shop Systems. Candidates should also have strong videography and lighting skills and the ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral form. Interest in, or agriculture experience is a plus.
This position requires the ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Candidates must have a valid Virginia driver's license and be available for occasional evening and weekend work.
