KOTO News is seeking a motivated, part-time general assignment reporter for a small, nonprofit community radio station. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field, or experience covering community news. This position is 24 hours a week. KOTO News is a small operation with ambitious goals. Our newscasts air Monday through Friday, so be prepared to meet a daily deadline. Candidates must have a thorough understanding of all aspects of news coverage, including the importance of adhering to the almighty deadline and the Code of Ethics. The right person will be willing to hit the ground running. There is plenty of room for creative storytelling apart from the daily grind. Serious candidates only, please.
KOTO Community Radio has a rich history of news coverage in San Miguel County dating back to 1975 and is one of the last remaining non-commercial, non-underwritten radio stations in the country.
