PBS NewsHour is seeking an Associate Production Manager (APM) to work directly with the Production Manager assisting in all phases of the technical and operational activities for the nightly broadcast of the program. Key responsibilities include attending the morning and afternoon editorial update meetings on a daily basis, maintaining and updating the database of studio remote facilities worldwide, working closely with Reporter/Producers to ensure that remote studio needs are met in a timely fashion, coordinating traffic needs with the Engineer in Charge, assist with logistics and budgetary oversight of the daily program and more. 3-5 years of prior television experience, preferably in a news environment, strong organizational skills and attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate across all levels and financial aptitude with a proficiency in Microsoft Excel or equivalent combination of training and experience are sought.
