South Carolina ETV/Public Radio, a vibrant public media organization with a statewide audience, seeks a dynamic individual to provide leadership and administrative oversight of the agency's Financial Operations area. As a member of the agency’s senior management team, this position plays an important role in the organizations strategic and financial planning and works closely with all the departments of the organization, the ETV Commission and the ETV Endowment, staff and community partners. This position is responsible for all aspects of financial, budgetary and procurement activities and programs and ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Working with the President, The Director of Finance and Procurement is responsible for leading efforts to meet the short term and long term financial objectives of SCETV and South Carolina Public Radio. As SCETV’s top financial executive, the Director of Finance and Procurement is responsible for developing, updating and implementing financial strategies and solutions and must have the ability to collaborate and support management to align financial requirements with organizational business objectives.
South Carolina ETV is the state’s public educational broadcasting network. Using television, radio and the web, ETV’s mission is to enrich lives by educating children, informing and connecting citizens, celebrating our culture and environment and instilling the joy of learning. ETV provides national and local content to classrooms via internet services Knowitall.org, LearningWhy and PBS Leaning Media. The network comprises 11 TV stations, eight radio stations, and a statewide tower network that services schools, hospitals, and emergency management teams.
A bachelor’s degree with accounting courses and professional experience in a related area. A bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in accounting or finance plus eight years’ experience in financial management is preferred. Possession of CPA or CGFO is a plus.
