Job Description:

REPORTS TO:        VP, Marketing & Communications      

 

SUMMARY:           

Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing & Communications, the Digital Marketing Coordinator is responsible for administrative and creative support for marketing, underwriting, newsroom and all TPR divisions. Duties include the management of digital ad placement, creation of ads, generating reports to monitor digital ad performance, and troubleshooting. This position coordinates directly with NPR digital, and works in collaboration with TPR’s Digital News Producer on strategic planning and to ensure consistent digital efforts across all platforms.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The TPR Digital Marketing Coordinator is responsible for monthly reports and coordinating cross-divisional meetings to track key performance indicators and strategic planning for digital efforts.  

Responsible for some marketing content on TPR websites, social media and mobile apps, review of content, maintaining updated and fresh content. 

Acts as TPR liaison to contractors and network agencies including NPR, Google.

Enter and coordinate digital orders with NPR Digital Services, digital contractors, and other partners and contractors.  Ensures ads are running within scheduled flight dates, are delivered as per order instructions.

Assists in training the department on newly introduced digital revenue products as well as changes within existing platforms.

Provide support to the Corporate Support Department in the management of client inquiries with regards to their digital ad campaigns.

In collaboration with other divisions, develop and implement campaigns to increase usage across digital platforms including traffic to website, mobile app and newsletter through use of Google advertising, in house ads, and on air messaging.  

Research and develop potential digital revenue streams, ads for newsletter, podcasts, and other digital opportunities as they develop.

Assist with promotion of TPR events and programming initiatives including the production and placement of in house ads to run within all mobile and web platforms, creating content for newsletter and web, creating signage, invitations, flyers and slide shows.

Assist with the development of sales tools through utilization of audience research software and working with Marketing Department to keep collateral current and up to date.

Design digital media campaigns aligned with business goals;

Social media advertising.

Coordinate the distribution of digital content via website, email, and social media.

Manage end-to-end digital projects.

Assist Underwriting and other divisions to effectively provide strategic solutions/advice for underwriters and TPR to meet goals.

Be able to work with cross-functional teams to increase brand exposure and revenue (News, Membership & Underwriting Departments).

Work with our network to ensure brand consistency.

Suggest and implement direct marketing strategies to increase brand awareness.

Stay up-to-date with digital media industry developments.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Must have basic understanding of ad serving platforms such DoubleClick

Experience in digital product research and implementation to assist in generating revenue

Knowledge of Google Analytics

Knowledge of Adwords

Proven work experience in Digital Marketing 

Experience in ad management 

Content creation experience

Experience with visual communication principles

Familiarity with web design and content management systems

Excellent analytical and project management skills

Four year degree in Marketing, Digital media or equivalent experience

Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and content management experience

 

EDUCATION:

A Bachelor’s degree in Communications or a related field preferred.

 

EXPERIENCE:

Must have at least three (3) years of relevant experience including advertising, marketing and/or non-profit fund-raising, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

SKILLS:  

Must have exceptional time management and personal relationship skills.

Must have excellent oral communication and language skills, including writing, editing and proofreading.

Must be able to demonstrate teamwork, professionalism, initiative, and motivational skills.

Must be able to work effectively under pressure and to meet deadlines.

Must be able to work efficiently with limited direct supervision. 

Must have knowledge of the basic principles of marketing and/or public relations.

Must be proficient in oral and written communication.

Must demonstrate skill in handling multiple tasks and prioritizing.

Must be proficient in using computers and basic software, including Microsoft Word suite, PowerPoint.

Must have basic proficiency in layout and design software such as InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. 

Must have skill in planning and organizing.

Ability to develop, coordinate and implement programs.

Ability to work with frequent interruptions and changes in priorities.

 

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.

Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or other materials.

Sedentary work; sitting most of the time.  May have to lift folders, files, papers, audio/video equipment, and other such items weighing up to approximately 25 lbs.
