|The Producer, working with minimal supervision from the Managing Producer, develops, creates, and manages highly compelling daily live news talk show segments with a presence across multiple media platforms. Working closely with the Managing Producer, Senior Talk Host and Resident Political Analyst, the Producer researches a wide range of topical issues, including political, cultural and social issues in the region, to create compelling live interview/listener call-in segments. The Producer coordinates political coverage, including the show’s weekly political program – which provides in-depth coverage of local politics in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia. The producer is responsible for regional election coverage, including coordinating with other WAMU departments, organizing candidate forums and debates, and live election-night coverage.|
|Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the necessary skills and abilities required for this job.|
|This is a temporary full-time 12-week position.
