This is a full-time position. The Host of Radio Boston is the primary voice of WBUR's hour-long local daily (Monday-Friday) news program. The Host helps set the on-air tone and style of the program and is responsible for reports, interviews and moderating call-in segments. He/She provides narration (voice talent) and reporting as needed for pre-recorded segments of the show including writing and editing. He/She actively participates in Radio Boston's daily editorial meeting, assisting the Executive Producer in considering story and segment topics and guests for the program. The Host works collaboratively with other program producers and as an active contributor to the WBUR newsroom. At times the Host contributes segments, interviews and stories to WBUR newscasts, and to All Things Considered and Morning Edition. He/She also contributes multimedia content for Radio Boston/WBUR's digital platforms. The Host participates in 'live' public events around Boston and in WBUR's new convening venue: 'City Space.' The Radio Boston Host also participates in station fundraisers and promotional events as required.

Required Skills

Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred with more than eight years of related experience.
