Assistant General Counsel
WETA, DC’s public broadcasting station has an exciting opportunity to join our legal department as the Assistant General Counsel. This position will provide advice and counsel on national production and distribution agreements and other legal matters. Knowledge and experience in broadcasting or entertainment laws (or related field with similar transactional work is required. Additionally, knowledge and experience with public broadcasting and the political/regulatory environment is preferred. You must be able to work effectively independently and in a team environment. A minimum of four years’ relevant legal experience (preferably in broadcast, entertainment, or related field) is required. Also, you must have excellent academic credentials, including a law degree from an ABA-accredited law school, current license to practice in the District of Columbia, or Virginia, or eligible to waive into the D.C. Bar.
