WETA, Washington, DC's public television and classical radio station, is looking for a Corporate Controller to plan and direct the activities of the Finance Department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, project and grant accounting, budget and financial analysis. The Controller ensures compliance with internal policies and external requirements, and creates a positive and productive working environment. Ten or more years or related work experience with at least five years of accounting/finance management experience including responsibility for a staff of at least five professionals. Demonstrated ability to hire, develop, motivate and retain a talented team that produces outstanding results. College degree in Accounting or related field required. Knowledge of not-for-profit accounting, Great Plains accounting system and Ceridian payroll system strongly preferred. CPA strongly preferred. Knowledge of television broadcasting and production, radio broadcasting, and web site development is a plus.
