WETA, the second-largest station producer of content for the public television system is seeking a Director, Annual Fund. The incumbent will proactively cultivate, prepare for solicitation and steward donors in the Leadership Circle through the Annual fund Campaign. Work cooperatively with the Sr. Director, Leadership Circle and Vice President to upgrade gifts to the Benefactor level ($5,000) and seek ways to successfully acquire new $1,000 and up donors. Build personal relationships with a strategic segment of the file through a donor/prospect portfolio. Develop activities that will increase donor loyalty to WETA. Supervise the Development Associate and provide oversight of major gift recording, acknowledgement and database management. Report to the Sr. Director, Leadership Circle. Knowledge of established development practices and experience with cultivating and soliciting major donors, managing donor or membership gift clubs and annual fund campaigns in a public broadcasting, academic or cultural organization preferred. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written along with organizational skills, including the ability to set priorities, manage budgets and meet time lines are qualities the successful candidate will possess.
College Degree and CFRE are preferred with a minimum of five years’ experience in non-profit fundraising; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
