WETA seeks a multi-platform media executive who can bridge the boundaries of current distribution channels to create a first-rate transmedia organization worthy of the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area.
The Senior Vice President and General Manager, WETA Greater Washington, will lead all content and distribution of services for the Metro Washington community and serve as a key member of the WETA senior management team. The Senior Vice President will shape the vision for WETA content, distribution and engagement strategies in the Greater Washington community and drive effective implementation and operations supporting that vision.
The executive will collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to develop a cross-departmental strategy that furthers and promotes WETA’s service as an impactful, valued and successful regional media institution. The Senior Vice President oversees 7 direct reports and will establish strong relationships with functional areas throughout WETA.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field with at least 10 years significant successful and relevant senior management experience in a non-profit media organization or similarly relevant and competitive environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience is sought.
