The Wisconsin Public Television (WPT) Next Generation internship is designed for students currently enrolled in their second year or above of a two or four year college, and is meant to prepare students of color, and those from other groups underrepresented in the media industry, for a successful career in public media. The successful candidate will work in one of three focus areas: Production, Marketing & Engagement, or Development.
The intern will receive regular and concentrated coaching on writing, editing, and other aspects of Television production, marketing, or development, receiving more project responsibility as professional growth is demonstrated. The internship will last at minimum for one academic year, with the potential to continue until graduation.
