|Class Title||Communications Manager|
Manages all internal and external communications, including WUCF’s print and electronic newsletters, press releases, website and social media. Ensures successful implementation of effective and creative electronic and print communications as well as management and supervision of all social media and other outreach among viewers, potential viewers, donors and external media outlets.
Works under the supervision of the Director of Content and Community Relations to strategically position WUCF TV and WUCF FM as an essential media service to the Central Florida community.
Creates comprehensive communication and social media promotion plans that support WUCF’s mission.
Supervises and manages social media platforms and website. Responsible for all social media strategy and implementation for WUCF TV and FM.
Responds for requests for information about WUCF, its policies, programs and outreach services.
Keeps current about public television best practices and FCC regulations as they apply to communication, social media and engagement efforts.
Interfaces with PBS and NPR nationally to keep current about national promotions, digital opportunities, training, grant opportunities and more.
Expected to exercise independent judgment.
Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.
|Additional Minimum Requirements|
Excellent writing skills.
Basic knowledge of website maintenance, basic CMS experience.
