CPB Board of Directors to Meet on October 2-3, 2017

The CPB Board of Directors will hold its annual meeting in Washington, D.C., on Monday, October 2, 2017, from 9:30 am – 5:00 pm, and Tuesday, October 3, 2017, from 9:00 am – 12:15 pm.

  • Approval of Minutes (public and executive sessions)
  • Chair’s and Directors’ Remarks
  • Election of Chair and Vice Chair       
  • President’s Report to the Board
  • Update on Public Media Coverage of Communities Impacted by Hurricane Harvey          
  • Committee Chair Report
  • Review and Approval of FY 2018 Operating Budget
  • Review of Business Plan (public and executive sessions)
  • Update on Public Media Journalism
  • Background and Overview of TV CSG Policy
  • Update on Public Broadcasting Interconnection (executive session)
  • Personnel Matter (executive session)

Day Two (October 3):

  • Early Learning and Educational Media
  • Update on Post-Auction TV Repack and Reimbursement
  • Update from the Inspector General
  • Review of Conflicts of Interests Disclosure Form and Code of Ethics
  • Discussion of Calendar Year 2018 Meeting Dates and Locations
  • Committee Appointments
  • Future Agenda Items

With the exception of the executive sessions, the public may attend and listen to these meetings in the Blair-Killian Board Room, Corporation for Public Broadcasting, 401 Ninth Street, NW, Washington, D.C.
