Washington, D.C. (August 13, 2015) – The following statement is attributed to Patricia Harrison, president and CEO of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB):

We are pleased that Sesame Street, an iconic public media program, will continue to reach all of America’s young people and their families through PBS as it has for the past 45 years. Today, Sesame Street is part of a robust and dynamic array of children’s programming which includes Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, Curious George, Wild Kratts, Dinosaur Train, and Peg + Cat. CPB and public media are committed to ensuring that all Americans have access to the highest quality educational programming, provided free and commercial free.
