Beautiful Sin

Beautiful Sin tells the surprising, decade-long story of three couples struggling with infertility in Costa Rica who fight their government in an international human rights court for the right to use in vitro fertilization. Costa Rica is the only country in the world that has outlawed the treatment. The protagonists chart the emotional journey on which infertility has taken them and tell a universal story about the yearning to have children, and what happens when this primal desire clashes with state power and religious beliefs.
