Center for Asian American Media (CAAM) FY 2016 Grant

This grant provided funding to the Center for Asian American Media (CAAM) to continue its operations and to support the creation of multimedia content by, for and of interest to the Asian American community for national distribution on public media (e.g., PBS and WORLD Channel) in FY 2016. Funding is also used to strengthen partnerships within the Asian American community, to expand the impact of CAAM content in that community and in the broader public media audience, and to nurture diverse creative talent within public media. CAAM works with other members of the National Minority Consortia (NMC) to maximize the use of CPB funds both in the creation of content and in NMC operations. CAAM is one of the five national minority consortia funded by CPB to assist in meeting the needs of the unserved and underserved audiences.
