FRONTLINE/Marketplace/PBS NewsHour: Election 2016 Economy Reporting Collaboration

As part of an Election 2016 reporting collaboration, FRONTLINE, APM's Marketplace and PBS NewsHour conducted a year-long investigation into the state of the American economy. The multiplatform project featured radio segments and original podcasts, short-form videos for the NewsHour and FRONTLINE's YouTube Channel, digital and print pieces, infographics, polling and crowdsourced audience questions. The producers developed a shared title and hashtag for the reporting collaborative and cross-promoted on-air and through social media to engage audiences. CPB and PBS jointly and equally funded the FRONTLINE and PBS NewsHour production elements; CPB fully funded the Marketplace production.
