Regional Journalism Collaborations: IPB News

IPB News, an Indiana statewide news service, comprises three public television stations and nine public radio stations producing original multi-platform enterprise reporting. Led by WFIU/Bloomington, IPB News focuses on examining the connections and gaps between the people of Indiana and the state's policies and politics in government and politics; economics and business; environment and energy; health, science and technology; and education. IPB News content is distributed on broadcast, web and social media platforms, and produced for broadcast and digital distribution by national producers (e.g., NPR's Morning Edition and All Things Considered, APM's Marketplace, PBS NewsHour). IPB News is supported over a 24-month term. CPB seeks to increase the capacity of public radio and television stations to create high-quality original and enterprise journalism by supporting Regional Journalism Collaborations that will establish reporting partnerships between multiple station newsrooms in a state or region.
