Sia

Sia (formerly Pacific Walking Warriors) is a portrait of acclaimed Samoan novelist Sia Figiel, who is walking across America to decolonize her body from diabetes and obesity and whose literary body of work aims to decolonize the Samoan female body from an overarching Western, patriarchal narrative. By following her physical journey across America and her spiritual journey back to Samoa, the film captures her quest to return agency to her own body, to her culture and to women.
