Vision Maker Media (2016)

This grant provided funding to Vision Maker Media (VMM) to continue its operations and to support the creation of multimedia content by, for and of interest to the Native American community for national distribution on public media (e.g., PBS and WORLD Channel) in FY 2016. Funding is used to strengthen partnerships within the Native community, to expand the impact of VMM content in that community and in the broader public media audience, and to nurture diverse creative talent within public media. VMM works with other members of the National Minority Consortia (NMC) to maximize the use of CPB funds both in the creation of content and in NMC operations. VMM is one of the five national minority consortia funded by CPB to assist in meeting the needs of the unserved and underserved audiences.
