Intro to Financial Reporting to CPB (for AFR and FSR filers)

This webinar provides a basic overview of the Annual Financial Report (AFR) that most CPB grantees must file in order to be in compliance with certain provisions of the Community Service Grant (CSG) program. Some radio grantees only file an Annual Financial Summary Report (FSR), which will also be discussed in this presentation. This training session is designed for individuals who have no prior experience completing an AFR or FSR. CPB staff will guide you through a brief discussion on the reasons for financial reporting to CPB and the essential role non-Federal Financial Support (NFFS) plays in CSG calculations. What is NFFS? (for AFR and FSR filers)

Non-federal financial support (NFFS) is an eligibility criterion for the Community Service Grant (CSG) program as well as a key component in calculating CSGs. This is the principal reason for submitting an Annual Financial Report (AFR) to CPB. This webinar will explain the concept of NFFS and provide simple methods for determining the NFFS eligibility of direct and in-kind revenue. In-kind Contributions / Schedules C & D (for AFR and FSR filers)

This session provides discussion and instruction on the different components of the Annual Financial Report (AFR). In this teleconference CPB staff will review CPB’s criteria for including in-kind contributions as non-Federal financial support (NFFS), including CPB’s specific documentation and valuation requirements for in-kind contributions. For AFR filers, this session will include instructions on completing AFR Schedules C and D. [ Link to Webinar ]

AFR Schedules A, E & F (for AFR filers)

This session provides discussion and instruction on the different components of the Annual Financial Report (AFR). In this webinar CPB staff will guide you through instructions on completing AFR Schedules A (Direct Revenue) and E (Expenses) using CPB’s web-based reporting tool, ISIS. A brief discussion of Schedule F (Reconciliation of the AFR with the AFS) is also included. [ Link to Webinar ]

Completing the FSR (for FSR filers)

This session is for FSR filers only (CSG Level A and B Radio Grantees). In this webinar CPB staff will discuss the financial filing requirements that are unique to FSR filers. CPB staff will also guide you through instructions on completing the Financial Summary Report (FSR). [ Link to Webinar ]

Updates to the AFR

This session provides discussion on updates to the format of the Annual Financial Report (AFR) that CSG grantees submit to CPB annually.
