The News Assistant program is designed to give recent college graduates practical experience in a broadcast news setting. During their tenure, News Assistants are exposed to many aspects of producing a nightly television news program and may have the opportunity to rotate through any, or all of the following areas:


PBS Wisconsin is searching for our next Creative Manager, an innovative and collaborative leader who will serve as one of two key design team managers reporting to the Creative Director within the Design department. This position oversees graphic design and motion graphics, managing the look and feel of key projects as part of a large, dynamic design team. The role helps manage workflows and assignments, quality control and station brand, and ensures projects come in on time and according to specification in a very complex design environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE

PBS NewsHour is hiring a Creative Director, Graphics to lead our graphics department. In this position, you will not only manage the motion graphics style for our program (broadcast and digital), but inspire a team of talented artists. You’ll work closely with the digital team to develop graphics for daily news coverage, special event coverage, and long form video productions. You’ll report to our VP, Operations.

Do you have a passion for journalism, new media and public television?  The Gwen Ifill Washington Week Fellowship for emerging journalists is where you can gain hands-on, real-world experience working on "Washington Week," the longest running news analysis program on PBS.  The program is seeking news junkies who are creative and have strong attention to detail. Journalism and political science graduates are preferred but not required.


 

Senior Producer, Washington Week

 

As the Washington Week Senior Producer, you will develop and manage the editorial content and production for the weekly national broadcast and assets for related digital platforms. You will work closely with the program’s moderator, executive producer and production team to ensure that the series is at the top of its game, providing the best analysis and in-depth coverage of the news that has come to define Washington Week.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your role as our PA, Segment Unit is integral in the coordination of many of the production elements involved with the broadcast and online broadcast. You’ll work with senior producers, producers, editors and other staff. You’ll also be responsible for a diverse range of writing, research, editing, production, and tracking services to support the PBS NewsHour.

Production Assistant, Washington Week

Reports to: Senior Producer, Washington Week

 

We’re looking to hire a Production Assistant for our Washington Week team. As our PA, you will contribute to the production of our live, weekly broadcast and our online/social media content. You will be researching, gathering video elements, and monitoring/logging live news events. There will also be some administrative/operational support you will provide to the rest of the team.


This is an excellent opportunity for the right sales coordinator to join our team! Under the general supervision of the Managing Director SFPBS, The Health Chanel and Comtel Inc. the Sponsorship/Underwriting Coordinator is responsible for assisting the executive sales team with on-air acknowledgements, marketing, invoicing and data entry.

WNIT Public Television in South Bend, IN seeks an Individual Giving Associate. College degree preferred. Working knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel required.  Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work assignments required.  Additional knowledge with membership and fund raising related software is a plus. Previous customer service experience and experience in the television industry is desirable.
