Wisconsin Public Television (WPT) seeks a talented Associate Publicist to work as a key part of WPT’s promotion department. The Associate Publicist will develop communication strategies and fulfill the tactical implementation of full campaigns and stand-alone projects: writing for promotional campaigns, Airwaves Magazine, online content, corporate communication efforts, email marketing, social media, and other promotional and marketing needs.


Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position is to ensure that all electrical work is done in accordance with the National Electrical Code, installation of electrical circuits and equipment for new construction, troubleshooting and repairing electrical circuits, equipment and maintaining all electrical equipment for Maryland Public Television. This position will also maintain HVAC system and energy management systems as well as coordinate and lead the snow removal team.

Main Purpose Of Job

The main purpose of the position is to manage and support all functions related to the COO, the office's direct reports and their staff needs. Support COO's schedule, travel and expenses. Handle all administrative duties under COO's supervision. Help write and create management presentations.

This is a Special Appointment position, and serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority.


The Emmy Award-winning, nationally-syndicated public TV show and multi-media brand, Articulate with Jim Cotter, is looking for flexible, creative, and ambitious journalists to write treatments and scripts for profile segments (8-12 min each) of some of the world’s smartest, most creative people.

You will be given a research document, video of a full-length interview (~60 min), and a transcript with which to create each treatment and script, profiling any one of a wide range of creative thinkers (musicians, authors, choreographers, architects, etc.). 


Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of the job is to act as an avid video editor, archivist and occasional segment producer for the Motorweek series. Edit numerous feature length segments weekly. Research, locate and obtain video, photographs and other media assets from outside sources including internet download and vehicle manufacturer press archives. Assist in organizing and maintaining Motorweek's video archive and production music library.

Note: The incumbent will be required to work the second shift (2pm - 11pm)


Main Purpose of Job

Maryland Public Television is seeking a goal-oriented Major Gift Officer who will join a team working to elevate the station’s profile within the philanthropic community covered by MPT’s multi-state broadcast region. This position will identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a pool of major and planned gift prospects and work closely with board volunteers and senior staff to support the collective efforts of leadership annual, major gift, and planned gift fundraising for the MPT Foundation.

KUSM/MontanaPBS is a partnership of Montana State University-Bozeman (KUSM) and the University of Montana-Missoula (KUFM).


The Creative Director provides conceptual direction and design services for the development of broadcast, print and digital assets for WETA, including projects across television, radio and digital content platforms, fundraising and promotion initiatives, and corporate identity materials. The Creative Director develops and maintains a consistent visual brand identity for materials and manages an intensive schedule of deliverables. The Creative Director manages one on-staff designer and several freelance/agency artists. The Creative Director reports to the Vice President, External Affairs.


The Senior Director, National Publicity develops, manages and executes promotional campaigns to gain visibility for WETA national productions, working closely with the Vice President for External Affairs, project executives, external producers and internal departments. The Senior Director also manages one direct report publicist and contributes publicity and communications skills to other projects as part of the Communications team. The Senior Director reports to the Vice President, External Affairs.
