CPB is accepting applications from noncommercial public radio stations to enter the CPB Community Service Grant Program (Program). CPB distributes the majority of its funds in support of public broadcasting directly to public radio and television stations in the form of community service grants (CSGs). Stations that apply must provide significant public service programming of an educational, informational or cultural nature in order to be considered for the Program.
Stations eligible to enter the Program during CPB's fiscal year (FY) 2017 must meet all of the criteria set forth in the FY 2017 Radio CSG Application and the FY 2016 Radio CSG General Provisions and Eligibility Criteria (General Provisions) which includes the Communications Act Certification Requirements for Community Service Grant Recipients (Certification Requirements). All stations admitted to the CSG program must demonstrate they are fully compliant with these criteria at the time of application.
CSGs must be used by station recipients for general station operations and programming expenses. All stations must meet a variety of legal, managerial, staffing, and operational criteria each year to continue receiving CSG funds.
The application deadline is 5:30 PM EDT on Monday, May 16, 2016.
