Dia de los Muertos

The Dia de los Muertos music special celebrates this Mexican-American tradition with guest artists Los Lobos and Ozomatli. Traditions deeply rooted in this holiday are examined in pre-produced short vignettes explaining the honoring of the deceased with Aztec marigold flowers known as cempazúchitl, the building of home altars called ofrendas, with gifts of calaveras sugar skulls, and pan de muerto shared with family and friends.
