PBS NewsHour Western Expansion
PBS NewsHour is advancing its push to become a 24/7 news operation by launching a Western bureau. The bureau updates the Monday through Friday broadcast with breaking news, serves as a West Coast reporting hub for the signature news and public affairs series, and expands digital content. The bureau's full-time team is housed at Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, home of Arizona PBS, under a three-year agreement.
