Grant Guidelines

CPB is accepting applications from noncommercial educational radio stations to enter the Radio Community Service Grant (CSG) Program. CPB distributes most of its funds in support of public broadcasting directly to public radio and television stations in the form of CSGs. Stations that apply must provide significant public service programming of an educational, informational or cultural nature in order to be considered for the Radio CSG Program.

Applicants seeking to enter the Radio CSG Program during CPB's fiscal year (FY) 2025 must be compliant at the time of application with the criteria listed in the Radio CSG Application for Fiscal Year 2025 and the FY 2024 Radio CSG General Provisions and Eligibility Criteria (General Provisions) (https://www.cpb.org/stations/grants/radio/generalprovisions/). Please refer to the General Provisions and the Communications Act Compliance booklet (https://www.cpb.org/stations/certification) when completing this application. These documents may be found on CPB’s website (https://www.cpb.org/stations).

CSGs must be used by station recipients for general station operations and programming expenses. All stations must meet a variety of legal, managerial, staffing, and operational criteria each year to continue receiving CSG funds.

The application deadline is April 30, 2024 at 5 PM Eastern Time.
