Arkansas Educational Television Network (AETN), Arkansas’s PBS member station, seeks a Production Director/Executive Producer for the network’s Content Team, working with management in the provision of quality in-house general audience productions for broadcast, VOD and online platforms as well as with the independent content community; supervises production staff; writes program treatments; drafts program topic research; reviews television programs prior to broadcast for quality and achievement of purpose; builds, reviews and manages fiscal year projects. Acts as a liaison with production contractors; negotiates terms and conditions of contracts. Minimum Qualifications: The formal equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in radio and television, journalism, plus five years of experience in television programming or a related field; including two years of supervisory experience. Preferred Qualifications: Five years of progressive experience in media production techniques, standards and procedures, including supervision of production and creative employees in both studio and film production. Knowledge of and experience with state budgetary and purchasing techniques and procedures, FCC rules and guidelines; and specific production regulations for public broadcasting, including PBS.
